Victoria Rowell second class citizen at CBS

Victoria Rowell is as American as an American pie. Rowell plays Drucilla Barber on the day time show “The Young and the Restless”. Rowell has been on one of America’s greatest past times aka day time soaps for 16 years to date. Although Rowell has a class act background in her professional life, CBS has not treated her with Diva status. If we take a brief look at Rowell’s life up until now, one would question why she has been treated like a field hand or production assistant while working at CBS.
Lets look at Victoria Rowells professional credits to fill in the blanks. Victoria started ballet aged 8, and after an audition she received a Ford Foundation scholarship to study at the Cambridge school of ballet. A professional dancer since the age of 17, Rowell received scholarships to the School of American Ballet, the American Ballet Theatre and the Dance Theatre of Harlem. After dancing with the American Ballet Theatre II and the Juilliard School of Music Dance Extension program with Anthony Tudor, Rowell accepted guest artist teaching posts in New England.
Well, after breifly looking over Rowell’s resume, one has to ask the following questions. Why does Rowell have to buy her own outfits to wear and look fashinable on the show. The other cast members do not have to do such a thing. Rowell has to provided her own stylish to set fashion trends for her fans and fans of the show. Rowell alledgely has been cheated out of writers credits for the show. Rowell even feels there is racism in day time TV dramas. Insiders are saying there is not enough press for ethincs characters in day time tv at all.
Although Rowell has to fight to look like a Diva on national TV, she is still able to express herself or, show other talents with a new book titled “The women who rasied me” and she is feature in a new movie with Sammuel Jackson and fiddy aka 50 cent. Rowell to date has left “The Young and the Restless”.
