Times (May 30) but while Patt Morrison stressed his remarkable career, the recently released biography LAFFIT: Anatomy of a Winner by Madelyn Cain, reveals the underside of his career: the bouts with bulemia and anorexia, his first wife's suicide, the FBI invesigation, the loss of millions of dollars due to mismanagement of his funds, and the final crushing end to his career when he broke his neck riding at age 56.
