The CDI profession is rapidly growing. Hospitals are realizing the importance of CDI programs, especially since the advent of Medicare Severity DRGs (MS-DRGs) and CMS' corresponding documentation and coding adjustment (DCA), or payment cut for inpatient reimbursement. Hospitals that don't have CDI programs will see a decrease in payment due to the DCA. Because of these regulatory changes, hospitals are looking to add or build to their existing CDI departments, and the ACDIS job board was launched to fill that need. (PRWeb Jun 8, 2009)
