Mayor Stephanie "Daddies Girl" Rawlings-Blake has taken control of Baltimore City but, the question for the Baltimore community is one thing. Has she changed or forgotten her roots? Hmmm, We must not forget that her father hand picked Martin Shiny shoes O'Malley , therefore her getting the job of city Mayor was just due. Although Howard Pete Rawlings came from humble beginnings and bettered himself due to affordable higher education threw the education system of America, one can say the lifestyle change may have helped him because of his education but, the mindset had no effect Mayor Daddy Girl.
Recently, Mayor Daddy Girl took action against two establishments to help the new members of the Baltimore community. The new members of the Baltimore community are those that have invested in the 500k property lifestyle.
The first action was to take the liquor license of a strip club that had no problem in the community up to now. The club has existed for 20 years or more but ,gentrification ended the past. The new people to the city did not want their property value to go down and have asked for the club to be move or get moved.
The second action is a little more funny. The Velvet Rope which is an upscale club with no problems in the past, lost their liquor license for a min too. This comment was obtained from thefamempire.com.
On February 24th at approximately 11:50 p.m., a crowd of several hundred people outside 200 E. Redwood Street attempted to gain entry into an oversold venue within the establishment. Private security officers began indiscriminately dispensing mace from a fogger device which immediately incited the crowd and caused significant disorder. Based on the gross misconduct of the business, Police Commissioner Frederick H. Bealefeld, III conferred with Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and requested that the Liquor Board immediately close the establishment for public safety reasons. “The actions and response of the Velvet Rope nightclub posed a significant public safety risk to our community, said Bealefeld. “We will not tolerate any reckless business owners who put public safety at risk.” Mayor Rawlings-Blake echoed the department’s concern. “Baltimore has a vibrant and growing night time entertainment industry, and we cannot allow irresponsible behavior by business owners to put the public at risk,” Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said. “It is important that this matter is fully investigated and that the State Liquor Board take immediate steps to review the investigation.” In excess of fifty (50) officers from across the city along with the FoxTrot Police Helicopter and resources from the Special Operations Section were needed to restore order to the situation. It is the Department’s assessment that the actions of the business were very negligent and would have escalated without police intervention.
If you read the above report, you may say hmmmm just due. If you look at the pattern, you will see only the 500k and above can have a night life on their standards and , the others cannot. The Velvet Rope had no problems before this one but , the community of downtown Baltimore has changed.
