The IRS is looking at Yolanda Adams. Adams is best known as a famous gospel singer and syndicated radio host on various radio gospel station. According to the Houston Chronicle, the IRS started to investigate Adams after she applied for a new home loan valued at two million dollars.
The IRS wants Adams financial records. The IRS had to obtain a court order and Adams failed to appear for an appointment. The years of 2000 to 2004 are the years under investigation. The records requested range from her endorsements to her current assets. At various points in time, Adams allegedly has claimed to have made 40k a month, held 10 million in assets, a 1 million dollar trust and 6 million in other personal holdings along with 2 million in jewelry.
While at another point doing the years of 2000 through 2005, Allegedly, Adams claims 3 million in assets, 2 million in business worth along with 2 million dollars in real estate. With great difference in information, it is easy to see how the IRS has raised question to Adams returns.
