Prince Georges County,MD is the home of the small town politician Thomas E Dernoga could be a prime example of many in the county with the small town love for politics. How can small town politics happen in a county with a major population size and highly ethnic mix. Although Dernoga claim to fame is a zoning wizard and fixing building regulation problems, Dernoga small town management style may not be enough. At an annual Town Hall meeting in Laurel, MD, Dernoga was asked about the Prince George's County Task Force for Child Support. This task force went through a full Maryland State House Bill process. For those not familiar with the law making process, you should continue to read for further understanding. For example, a member of the law making body has to propose a bill. The bill goes to committee. The committee votes. The bill is then presented to the congressional body and then O'Malley signs the bill and, it is a law or rule or something. Dernoga did not have problem with informing people with his claim to fame with state issues that were based around building and zoning but , for social issues or issues that have effects on the unprotected, Dernoga appeared not to have clue nor concern. With all this work, how can one individual, or county council not know about major event nor have an opinion on this matter. The purpose of this task force is to harvest the non custodial parent at a cheaper cost with no protection for the non custodial parent if the private company makes a mistake. A person should not have to get lawyer to protect it self when the government is the steward of operations. The government should have rules to protect all.
