Is the NAACP having a problem building a relationship with Hip Hop?

Ben Jealous is having a problem talking about Hip Hop and , the reason the NAACP has ignored the Hip Hop community and the bigger names in the game. Although various black crusader organizations have spoke out against Hip Hop, Jaealous has not talked about this.
One approach could be to build their own Hip Hop artist to challenge the Evil Empire of the record industry.
