Praise 104 host Saint Jude Childrens Research Hospital Event

Praise 104 FM is one of Radio One's radio stations. The format of the station is inspirational. On April 3 2008, Radio One along with all it's FM inspirational stations across the country held a radio pledged drive for the St Jude Children's Research Hospital. The 15 hour on the air drive raised over 500,000 dollars for St Jude.
Saint Jude Children's Hospital helps families in need. St Jude is the world’s premier center for research, treatment of cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases. St Jude covers most cost for the families that require top care.
Matt Anderson and Shelia Stewart , who work for Radio One, assisted on the air and off for this project. The two were able to get local and national people of influence to come to the station and take part in the event. For example, all of the Black Greek organizations had representation. Dr. E. Faye Williams, who is the national chair of the National Congress of Black Women, showed along with supporters. The Washington Redskin also showed up. Chris Samuels brief time on the air gave the drive a great boost. There are pictures and captions below of the others that took part in this event.
