Russ Parr gets help with Community House of Hope

On April 11, 2008, Russ Parr let the world know about his new outreach program. The title of the project is Community House of Hope. Community of Hope is a 139 acre expanse of which will provide a safe living environment and rehabilitation for domestic violence survivors and their children. The project has brought in major sponsors such Microsoft,Marlo Furniture and American Airlines.
This project has been a joint effort with other non profits showing support for the Community of Hope project. Christine Eads of the Duffy House, Jean Chouteau of National Alliances to End Domestic Abuse and Tanisha Bagley of Sircles have all assisted with this project.

At least 1 in every 3 women has been beaten, coerced into sex or otherwise abused during her lifetime.
Nearly 1/3 of American woman (31percent) report being physically or sexually abused by a husband or boyfriend at some point in their lives, according to a 1998 Commonwealth Fund survey.
Nearly 25% of American woman report being raped and/or physically assaulted by a current or former spouse, cohabiting partner, or date at some time in their lifetime, according to the National Violence Against Women Survey, conducted from November 1995 to May 1996.
Women are much more likely than men to be killed by an intimate partner.
