There is a fight in America and , this fight is to get the mass public to change. Earth Day Network wants to inform more people about the current state of Earth. This organization was started in 1970. EDN now has more supporters from various walks of life. Although EDN has gain respect from those with open minds, the current membership is not enough to have an effect on Congress. One method used to get the message out is free concerts around the country and world.
On April 21 at 12:00 PM, Earth Day Network launched the Green Apple Festival. The Festival brought in many famous music people from the entertainment industry. A free festival with big name music talent will draw in large crowds. Once the crowd is there, Earth Day Network can present information to people who may not have received it. With this new information , EDN hopes people will call their federal representative. Once the federal congressional representative is reached, the new grass rooter will ask them to save the planet with new laws to protect the planet.
Although time will tell if this plan will work, one can view pictures taken from the event in the District of Columbia below. To a younger person that attended this event, the Green Apple Festival could be their Wood Stock.
