Africa meets Hip Hop with Jay Z and John Legend

Africa Rising Festival 3rd annual event was held at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. This fashion fair event brought African fashion designers to town along with some super models and super stars. Some of the people in the public eye were Jay Z, John Legend, Tyson Beckford, Alek Wek.
The show had international designers such as Deola Sagoe, Chris Aire, and Momo. The first class event allowed people to see African talent with a star shine around it. Most of the people who attended the event spoke very highly of it.
Being that the event was at the Kennedy Center, it is always other shows going on. In this case , the Lion King was there too and the children cast from the Lion King waited near the stage door of the Festival for a long period time to get a picture and autograph of Jay Z.
