If you have not heard, the great state of Maryland wants to privatize child support or, it is an option according to the State Secretary Brenda Donald. Although her open letter states that she and O'Malley have picked experts for the Prince George’s County Task Force to Improve Child Support Compliance , she still focuses on collection and not holding the collector responsible for gross errors while collecting and hardships placed on non custodial parents.
Although this bill for the task force was presented by Hon Marvin E Holmes, this dose not make it wright. While talking to other Maryland state delegates, one may get various comments about this bill and the issues of child support along with privatizing it. The Hon George W Della , who is a Maryland state Representative, gave his two cent on Secretary Donald and Baltimore City Office of Child support.
Although Della has voted in the past to continue to extend the privatizing of child support in Baltimore City, he said it was done at the request of various Maryland state employee unions. Della says a day does not go by that he dose not receive a request to handle a social service matter relating to Donald's operation. Della states that he had to resort to threats and un necessary actions to get issues resolved. Della also implies the major reason some people are treated so bad in Baltimore City by Donald's operation is because the economic and demographic makeup of the city. Some of his comments went as follows , “The people of Baltimore City get treated like shit when it comes to receiving services from DHR”. Della also points out that Donald may not have the capability to run such an operation.
If a long time Senator has made such strong statements about Secretary Donald of Maryland, it may be time for her to hear the famous words of Donald Trump. “You are fired”.
