Carolina Missionary Baptist Church and Harambee Community Development Corporation are getting closer and closer to finishing the My Sister's Keeper Project. This project when completed will allow single mothers with HIV or AIDS to have a home, health care, job training, life skills training, parenting skills, peer support and a host of services. The large compound will allow single mothers to bring their children along with them too. The Pastor and First Lady Moore hope this new building will become a safe place for single HIV mothers and their kids. The mothers can focus on staying healthy and put aside their day to day struggles with paying for a living space, putting food on the table and paying for the high cost of medical care.

On November 30, 2008, Carolina Missionary Baptist Church hosted the architectural unveiling of the My Sister's Keeper Project. During the projects unveiling, one woman with HIV spoke about her experience with HIV and her life up to now. The video below allows you to hear her story. Many supporters came out to show their support for this project. The list of supporters were Sheila Stewart of Radio One cluster in DC metro, Prince Georges County government of Maryland and many community leaders.
