Tamala Jones one of Hollywood's working black actress. To date ,Jones has not had to do any plays to pay bills. Jones remember when African American actors were on TV more and on Broadway more but , she feels they are not as visible as they use to be. Jones had a painful childhood. Tamala was raised by a teenage mother and her father a rolling stone that left the family when she was 4. This lack of father figures left Tamala dating any and everybody. Although Tamale feels she is not as good looking as Halla Berry, she still feels she is attractive. With thoughts like this, one can see the psychological damage Tamala had to over come or is over coming to day. The way Tamala describes her relationship with men is like a brick wall effect. She does not let them in too close ,therefore she has a strict courtship process. Although Tamala dated rapper Big Gipp for a minute, she felt the relationship was based on her being a rebound chic. Although statements above make it appear Tamala is hurt and bitter, she a strong individual having great success in the land that rejects so many.
