Boris Kodjoe is staring in a new play called Mama's Sweet Potato Pie . Boris Kodjoe is best known for his role on Soul Food and movie roles in the Gospel, and Madea's Family Reunion. The play is a gospel based play with other cast such as Sherman Hemsley , Ginuwine, and Patrick Kodjoe .

The play is produced by Barrow-Dunlap . Barrow-Dunlap has produced other plays and other African American based events such as the Universal Soul Circus on HBO.
