Denzel Washington  had a trouble youth

When Denzel was a young lad, Denzel’s mother saved her son from drugs.  At the age of 14 , Denzel liked to get  smack in his system according to “All Headline News”.  He was so close to becoming an addict it was ridiculous.  Lucky for Washington’s fans, his mother came forward to help this young  hurt child who had just seen his parents divorced.  Denzel gave this quote , “ When everyone was getting on with their lives, I was doing everything in my power to shorten mine. Everyone was getting strung on heroin. In those situations everyone gets a tap on the shoulder at some point. Mine was starting to listen when I realized my mother really cared about me."
