blackness

Jennifer Lopez has the right to define
herself anyway she chooses. If she wakes up one morning and says she
is from the orange planet and is a orange, she can do that. If
Jennifer Lopez wants to define any music she puts out regardless of
collaboration as whatever she feels that day, she can do that too. Oh
remember when Jennifer Lopez used the N word due to association with
urban lifestyle and a number of black and African Caribbean and Cuban
African influences led her to feel like one of the slave blood
people.
According to MOBO the Music
Of Black Origin Awards , Jennifer did not want
her music in 2002 release of the annual compilation album. MOBO felt
that she would not mind this because of her collaboration with
various artist of African descent and she accepted awards in 2001.
According to MOBO, Jennifer Lopez London label made the following
statement. “She
doesn't consider her music to be of black origin.” Well
Jennifer does have the right to say that but based on all the facts
presented some my wonder how could she. Later a quote was captured
from Lopez's camp which went as the following. "The record
company acts as the go-between for an artiste like Jennifer. They
negotiate with the artiste and the people making the compilation
album. It can be very complicated."
Hmmmm. The facts for this brief article were based on a report from
http://www.xnewsjamaica.com.
Well , We do know J-Lo is of Latino descent because of recent
statement in Latina Magazine. This statement is paraphased. She said
she has a social responiablity to represent the Latin community to a
very high standard.
