While attending
Louisiana's Grambling State University on a music scholarship, Miko
was enthralled with the story-telling nature of country music and
felt that she had her own to share. As fate would have it, she became
friends and collaborated with another talented GSU student, Grammy
award winner, Erykah Badu. Miko was spotted at the Black
Family Reunion in Washington,D.C. Performing and entertaining the
crowd like a great super star. Miko maybe the only black female
country soul singer to this day. Miko has a website www.mikomarks.com
if you would like to check her out. This lovely cowgirl has many
tunes to share with new country lovers and the seasoned country
lover. I hope those who like country soul will support Miko Marks.
There are pictures and a short video clip of the country singer
below.
